CanSat 2008 Results

The fourth annual 2008 CanSat Competition was held on 14 to 15 June in Amarillo, Texas. The event is hosted by the American Astronautical Society and American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.

The team from University of New Hampshire — WildCatSat — was the overall winner of the competition.

The results of the competition:

Champion: University of New Hampshire
2nd Place: University of Alabama in Huntsville
3rd Place: University of Michigan MaizeSat
4th Place: University of Michigan Victor V
5th Place: Virginia Tech Maroon
Iowa State University
Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), Puebla
Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), Mexico City
Tuskegee University
Ryerson University
Michigan Tech University

The event was sponsored by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Naval Research Laboratory, and Orbital Sciences Corporation. The Panhandle of Texas Rocketry Society (POTROCS) provided the launch vehicles for the CanSat payloads.
