The theme of the 2008 Robert H. Goddard Memorial Symposium is Exploration to Commercialization: Going to Work in Space. Each year, the symposium brings together leaders in government, industry, academia, and entrepreneurial ventures to consider the history and current state of space exploration and commercialization.

On the evening of 4 March, AAS hosted a Future Leaders Networking Reception.
